Christmas has arrived !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes I have had to back down and start making Christmas Cards and Boxes, August in the sunshine and I'm putting glitter on cards for Chrimbo.  We have had quite a lot of Christmas things in, papers, stamps and other goodies, also the Christmas Warren range from Craftwork Cards.

My 1st Christmas Card of the Season !!!
The wreath is made with a Woodware stamp and the scallop circle is a Sizzix die, I have coloured in the wreath with pro markers, added some gold glitter and finished off with spotty green ribbon and a couple of buttons.
The next card, also Christmas was so cute I made a little gift bag to go with it.

The Snow Angels are Stampendous stamps and I have coloured in again with pro markers and layered up the red and green card and off course added lots of Star Dust Stickles.
This is another box I have made for putting you Christmas goodies in.

This was made with 2 sheets of 12x12 paper, I have added the stripey paper ribbons and made a bow for the top.
Here are a few cards I've made that are non-Christmas
This has been made using the Woodware Butterfly set and coordinating strips of brown paper, with ribbon and card candi to finish it off, I made the bag to match it for a small gift.
I still have loads of new cards and boxes and i will post them soon.
Thanks for looking,

Best before Tuesday!!!!!

Hi to you all, I thought I had better get this blog updated before tomorrow to avoid a huge telling off from Jan and Liz.  I don't know where the time goes, what with the all day workshops and the Saturday classes all I do is chase my tail!!!
My holiday was lovely, very relaxing, lots of sunbathing, reading of books and not much else.  I went to Claire's (my best friend) villa in Spain, very private and our own pool, excellent for floating about on my lilo!!!!
While there we adopted a mummy cat with 4 baby kittens who had made their home behind one of the orange trees, they were so cute I wanted to bring them all home but I don't think Jazzy would of been very happy about that.
Below are 2 cards I made for last Saturdays workshop, I used a set of Kaisercraft stamps for the first card and a Viva set for the second one, I embossed the images with white embossing powder and think they came out really well, I added lace, ribbon and stickles to finish off, hope you like them.
Here's a few close ups

This is the second card

We have had lots of new goodies in the shop including papers, stamps, dies and the new range of nesting shapes dies from XCut which are amazing value at £9.99 and £12.99 and they cut really well, even through felt.  I have had to try a couple of course!!!
Catch you all soon,
Deb xxx

AT LAST, She updates the Blog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I'm a rubbish Blogger but been very busy with lots of workshops and not enough time.  This is for Jan and Liz who are no longer put off with just a cup of tea.  I am getting ready for my Holiday, I am going to Spain for 8 days with my best friend Claire on Monday.  I am really ready for a break and some peace and quiet, just lots of sunshine, plenty of books to read and an odd dip in the pool!!!

Here are a few of the things I have been up to, hope you like xx

These cards were made this morning in our workshop using the Stampendous Dragonfly stamp.

I have made the notebox and card for a new home gift, they where made with the set by Woodware and I have stamped the house onto an assortment of papers with ribbon and card candi to finish off.

Best get a move on, still loads to do, must leave the shop tidy for Mum and Ingrid who are holding the fort next week.
Bye for now,

Debxx

Lots of Cards

Hello everyone, yes I know its been a while, sorry I'm not the best blogger but I will keep going and try to improve.  The apology is for Jan and Liz who called to see me today and I promised to blog tonight, I think I calmed the situation with a cup of tea but had better put plenty of cards on just in case the cuppa failed.  I have been really busy yesterday and today getting everything ready for the all day workshops which have taken off really well.  The project below is from last months workshop, I really must put some photos in mine, yes they will all be of my mad dog Jazzy.
The next picture is the box we made to put the frames in so you can give it as a gift.

We have had in the second collection from Craftwork cards which I just had to have as it is named Warren and that was my maiden name.  It is all really pretty and I really enjoyed the cards I made.

Sorry about the quality of the photos my camera really didn't like the shinny paper!!!
The next cards are made with the Botanical range, I love the blue and green together.

My last card is one we made in the workshop on Saturday, I would like to welcome Sue who joined us for the first time, also a big hello to Brenda, Deb and Cathy my lovely Saturday morning gang.
Well off to bed for me, thanks for looking,

Owl Mad!!!

Well I had a day off yesterday but all I did was boring housework, carpets that were desparate to be shampooed  due to my furry beast not wiping her feet after shes been for a walk (Jazzy) and much washing and ironing, so today I can play with bits of paper and card and design my other card for Saturday's class.
We had a lovely all day workshop on Tuesday and I promised Liz and Jan I would put my Owl cards on the blog, they are made with some Woodware clear stamps we have had in  and are sooooooo cute.

I have used pro markers to colour the owls and the flowers in on the two brown 8x8 cards and stamped the owl onto two different papers on the last card.  The swirls are Sizzix dies and I used card and ribbon out of the shop which I am afraid I treat as my own private stash ( I also pay myself in craft goodies aswell).
Thanks for looking,

Cards with Cookies, YUMMY!!!!!!!

Hi to all, card making combined with cookies what a good idea!!  I made this card for something a bit different for one of the Saturday morning classes, I must add that not all the ladies cookies made it into the card some disappeared when we had the coffee break!!

I made the apron template and thought it would be good to make a card and gift all in one.  Cathy one of the Saturday morning gang bought in the following week some cards she had made with Easter Eggs and Chicks on the front of the card and then filled the bag with Mini Eggs which is even more yummy.

We have had loads of new things in the shop including Sizzix dies, Spellbinder dies, lots of new stamps, ink pads, papers and I am expecting my Craftwork cards order in tomorrow so loads of lovely Card Candy and other goodies.  I will take lots of pics now I have eventually remembered to buy batteries for my camera and post soon.
I have a busy day tomorrow as it is the all day workshop on Tuesday and I still have some prep to do and a cake to make of course.
I don't seem to get enough time to do all I want, my head is full of ideas at the moment, I really seem to have got my inspiration back but isn't that always the case.
Thanks for stopping by,
Deb

Spent too much!!!!!

Hi everyone, I have been busy again, it was the trade show at the NEC last Sunday and I had a great time, I just wish I could have spent more as there were so many lovely things, a kid in a sweet shop comes to mind.  It was also good as I met up with my good friend Gwen who has a craft shop in Lancashire and we don't get to see each other very often, Gwen is the one I blame for introducing me to rubber stamps and costing me a fortune over the last 20 odd years.
I placed an order with Craftwork Cards and have their Card Candy and shaped cards arriving soon, from Creative Expressions there are loads of new Spellbinders coming in, some are the extra large ones and the others are some of their new designs, Spellbinders blog is well worth a visit and has some super nice projects on it.  I then could not resist visiting the Sizzix stand so there are some new goodies coming from them as well.
I had the new Stampendous Jumbo Cling stamps in just before the show on a pre order and have been making lots of cards with them, I have put 2 photos on and was also going to put pics on of the stamps but silly batteries went in my camera so i will do that on my next blog.
Have a lovely weekend

Happy Valentines Day

Hi, hope you ladies all received lots of flowers and cards this morning, I've been a very lucky girl as my lovely husband came up trumps with a card and a new charm for my Pandora bracelet, guess that puts him in my good books, will have to treat him to a steak tonight!!!
The weekend has flown by as normal, we had a lovely class on Saturday using some new funky flower stamps we have had in, will post as soon as photos taken.  I went to the warehouse in the week with the intention of only buying what was on my list but unfortunately they had loads of new things in which blew my budget out of the window.  I bought some lovely new stamps, papers and matching flowers along with a few other things, I don't know which to play with first.
The cards today are made with some new sets of Kanban stamps which you have all loved so as promised here are some of the cards I made with them........
I stamped the images with Brilliance Crimson pearlescent ink and put on clear embossing powder to give some depth, ribbon and stardust stickles were added to finish off, the colour was just right for these very girlie stamps.
The last card is made using the teacup set but this time I have used a blue ink with clear powder to give that willow pattern effect.

Have a lovely day,

Deb xx

New Stamps and Cards

Hi, we have had these new stamps in from Kanban and I loved them straight away, the cards were ones we made in Saturday's workshop.  I found them very easy to use and hope you like the cards we made.
This was made on a large 8" by 8" card, using purple Stazon ink, pro marker pens, lavender pearl card, silver ribbon and of course some Stickles for the sparkle.
This was an A5 card, the image was stamped in black Stazon and coloured with gold and green H2O's which i haven't used for ages, I added some pretty ribbons and some beads to finish it off.

I will be busy for the rest of the week as I have 9 ladies coming on Saturday for a workshop, so loads of prep to do and then an all day workshop on Tuesday, there are a few spaces left on the Tuesday class, we are making a miniature chest of drawers, a note book and a card.  For Jan and Liz I will be making a big creamy sponge of course.  Hope you all have a good week, I have made quite a few cards which I will add soon, love to you all and thanks for looking,
Deb xx

This is for Jan & Liz

As promised this morning here's my blog, I know I should blog more often but January has been most hectic so far.  But VAT done and Tax return nearly done when the inland revenue let me login, if you get your password wrong you have to wait 2 hours before trying again, do they think someone else might like to pay my tax!!!!!!!!!!

We have had some new Kanban stamps in, which I will photograph when I get home and post soon, I have made some cards with them already which I will also put on, yes which silly person left her camera at home.

We have a sale on at the moment and all Christmas stamps now have 40% off, so stock up for next year, we also have the Sizzix Tim Holtz Elegant Flourishes die in, it is on special offer at £9.99 instead of £13.99 while stocks last.

This is a card I made using the same Artsy Floral stamps as used with my last card, this time an easel card with added Tattered Floral die cuts.

Catch up soon ,

Belated Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all my friends and customers, sorry its late.   Things here have been very busy, a good start to the year as well as lots of preparation for new classes, VAT and Tax returns also been a complete pain, but now about up to date so normal blogging should resume.
The card above is one we made in a recent work shop, we used the Artsy Floral stamps by Sam Poole, with some die cuts, Stickles and ribbon.  This is a lovely card for a friend as the sentiment is so nice.

With the time off over Christmas I got lots done at home, even down to getting the ironing up to date.  It was really nice to spend some time with Steve and Jazzy ( the mad dog), lots of long walks which helped get rid of all those Quality Street I scoffed!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once again Happy New Year, lots of love Deb xx
