Spent too much!!!!!

Hi everyone, I have been busy again, it was the trade show at the NEC last Sunday and I had a great time, I just wish I could have spent more as there were so many lovely things, a kid in a sweet shop comes to mind.  It was also good as I met up with my good friend Gwen who has a craft shop in Lancashire and we don't get to see each other very often, Gwen is the one I blame for introducing me to rubber stamps and costing me a fortune over the last 20 odd years.
I placed an order with Craftwork Cards and have their Card Candy and shaped cards arriving soon, from Creative Expressions there are loads of new Spellbinders coming in, some are the extra large ones and the others are some of their new designs, Spellbinders blog is well worth a visit and has some super nice projects on it.  I then could not resist visiting the Sizzix stand so there are some new goodies coming from them as well.
I had the new Stampendous Jumbo Cling stamps in just before the show on a pre order and have been making lots of cards with them, I have put 2 photos on and was also going to put pics on of the stamps but silly batteries went in my camera so i will do that on my next blog.
Have a lovely weekend

Happy Valentines Day

Hi, hope you ladies all received lots of flowers and cards this morning, I've been a very lucky girl as my lovely husband came up trumps with a card and a new charm for my Pandora bracelet, guess that puts him in my good books, will have to treat him to a steak tonight!!!
The weekend has flown by as normal, we had a lovely class on Saturday using some new funky flower stamps we have had in, will post as soon as photos taken.  I went to the warehouse in the week with the intention of only buying what was on my list but unfortunately they had loads of new things in which blew my budget out of the window.  I bought some lovely new stamps, papers and matching flowers along with a few other things, I don't know which to play with first.
The cards today are made with some new sets of Kanban stamps which you have all loved so as promised here are some of the cards I made with them........
I stamped the images with Brilliance Crimson pearlescent ink and put on clear embossing powder to give some depth, ribbon and stardust stickles were added to finish off, the colour was just right for these very girlie stamps.
The last card is made using the teacup set but this time I have used a blue ink with clear powder to give that willow pattern effect.

Have a lovely day,

New Stamps and Cards

Hi, we have had these new stamps in from Kanban and I loved them straight away, the cards were ones we made in Saturday's workshop.  I found them very easy to use and hope you like the cards we made.
This was made on a large 8" by 8" card, using purple Stazon ink, pro marker pens, lavender pearl card, silver ribbon and of course some Stickles for the sparkle.
This was an A5 card, the image was stamped in black Stazon and coloured with gold and green H2O's which i haven't used for ages, I added some pretty ribbons and some beads to finish it off.

I will be busy for the rest of the week as I have 9 ladies coming on Saturday for a workshop, so loads of prep to do and then an all day workshop on Tuesday, there are a few spaces left on the Tuesday class, we are making a miniature chest of drawers, a note book and a card.  For Jan and Liz I will be making a big creamy sponge of course.  Hope you all have a good week, I have made quite a few cards which I will add soon, love to you all and thanks for looking,
Deb xx

This is for Jan & Liz

As promised this morning here's my blog, I know I should blog more often but January has been most hectic so far.  But VAT done and Tax return nearly done when the inland revenue let me login, if you get your password wrong you have to wait 2 hours before trying again, do they think someone else might like to pay my tax!!!!!!!!!!

We have had some new Kanban stamps in, which I will photograph when I get home and post soon, I have made some cards with them already which I will also put on, yes which silly person left her camera at home.

We have a sale on at the moment and all Christmas stamps now have 40% off, so stock up for next year, we also have the Sizzix Tim Holtz Elegant Flourishes die in, it is on special offer at £9.99 instead of £13.99 while stocks last.

This is a card I made using the same Artsy Floral stamps as used with my last card, this time an easel card with added Tattered Floral die cuts.

Catch up soon ,

Belated Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all my friends and customers, sorry its late.   Things here have been very busy, a good start to the year as well as lots of preparation for new classes, VAT and Tax returns also been a complete pain, but now about up to date so normal blogging should resume.
The card above is one we made in a recent work shop, we used the Artsy Floral stamps by Sam Poole, with some die cuts, Stickles and ribbon.  This is a lovely card for a friend as the sentiment is so nice.

With the time off over Christmas I got lots done at home, even down to getting the ironing up to date.  It was really nice to spend some time with Steve and Jazzy ( the mad dog), lots of long walks which helped get rid of all those Quality Street I scoffed!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once again Happy New Year, lots of love Deb xx

Happy Christmas

I would like to wish all my friends and customers a very Happy Christmas and thank you all for your support over the last year and here's to a good 2011.

As you can tell by the lack of blogs I have been very busy, but now the last workshop is over and I am looking forward to some time at home over the holiday.  The shop closes on Thursday 23rd December and we open again on Tuesday 4th January.

Below is a Christmas ornament we made in Saturday's workshop, the ladies really enjoyed making this and it is nice to think of it hanging in their homes this Christmas.  I cannot take all the credit for this and thanks go to Sue Grewcock who showed me this design although I have chosen different colours and embellishments.
We have just had in 2 new EK Success punches, long awaited for as they were ordered in April 2010, I have used them both and they go through card beautifully.  I have lots of ideas for using these punches and cant wait to get started, they are coming home with me for their Christmas jolly's.

Once again, wishing you all a lovely Christmas,
Lots of love, Debs xx

Crop and Workshop Dates

Sorry for lack of posts, we have been really busy and the snow has been a nightmare.  Ashby this afternoon was grid locked and I left the shop at 2pm worried that I wouldn't get home but once past Woodville the roads were not to bad.
We had a lovely workshop on Friday, 12 ladies and I had been really worried that it would be ok, the day went really well so I would like to thank everyone who attended the workshop, such a nice bunch who put me at ease straight away.  I would like to thank my Mum and Claire who helped out all day, I couldn't have managed without them.

This is a card we have made in a recent workshop, using the Kanban transport stamps, promarkers, K and Co Paper and a touch of stickles.
I will put on the all day workshop projects after the class has been repeated on Tuesday.
